STRONG LEADERSHIP
COMMON SENSE
Heather Arndt
You deserve a State Representative who works in facts and truth.
I intend to be the voice you deserve.
Hard working Minnesotans deserve a State Representative who will to listen to them, understand their issues and concerns, and engage with honest conversations. Someone who understands the role of the state government, its direct impact on you, the taxpayer, and how it can support hard working Minnesotans to make our lives and communities better.
We're going into a time that for many of us is unprecedented. Predatory outside entities have their eyes on our communities. Tariffs are raising prices of everyday goods while destroying the markets our farmers and small businesses have built. The cost of health care, housing, and food for our tables are quickly moving beyond anybody’s household budget. Cuts to federal programs are going to have major impacts on State and local governments. Now more than ever, we need to figure out how to maximize the state's current revenue to provide necessary services without seeking more tax dollars. Hard-working Minnesotan's don't have more to give, especially when their dollar buys less.
We need a change and we need it now.
I believe …
Our state government can, and should, take the steps necessary to protect the interests of everyday Minnesotans;
Decisions made must be fiscally responsible;
We need to keep our communities and local economies strong;
Our Democracy and civil rights are essential to our nation’s success;
We must protect the rights of all to be who they are and make their own decisions.
As you come to know me, you’ll know those aren’t just words on a page.
I bring to you, and this job, a track record of non-partisan, issue focused work. Combined with my moderate political beliefs, fiscally conservative ideals, and core values of honesty and integrity, and what you’ll find is that I can successfully work with all Minnesotans, Democrats and Republicans, who want to move our state forward in the interest of our local economies and everyday workers.
I believe together we can walk away from extreme rhetoric and find the common ground needed to keep Minnesota a great place to live, work, and enjoy our lives.
Where I Come From
I was raised on our family farm in Belle Creek Township and graduated from Wanamingo High School. A long-time community champion and defender of rural Minnesota, I’ve spent my adult life in service to our country. I helped lead the bipartisan fight against Zip Rail and for a safer highway 52 corridor for area residents. As a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army National Guard serving 28 years with two tours in Afghanistan, earning a Combat Action Badge and a Bronze Star, I bring a history of leadership to deliver results for the residents of House Seat 20A.
I have a Bachelor’s in Political Science, a Master of Science in Plant Science and a Master of Science in International Agriculture. She works in emergency preparedness, planning how agencies can step up in times of local man-made or natural disasters.
